Replacement procedure: Take a sharp punch and with a hammer and make a good indent in the middle of the rivet. Then use a 1/8 inch drill and drill down only to the depth of the rivet head, so that you are not drilling into the receiver. Tune use a 3mm punch to hammer it out. The head should pop off readily. As you can imagine the danger is drilling too deep so take it slow and easy.
