Description
The receiver is 5.300 inches, and since this is a zero percent, the tubing is longer than that and needs to be cut down as in the Step One video featured in our blog.
You can use any metal tubing, 1” outside diameter and 3/4” inside diameter, for the Ruger Zero Percent. 7075 aluminum is recommended by us because it is plenty durable for the job, and is easier to work with. The steel tube is a lot harder to cut and file, and may be tight in the jig since it is a couple thousands over 1” in diameter. It’s possible that the diameter may have to be sanded down slightly.
