Our P229/6 Frame in Competition

Our P229/6 is a P226 frame that uses a P229 slide.

I received this email from a competition shooter:

Last weekend I competed in a 25 yard Bullseye competition at a local Gun Shop & indoor Range. I used my friend’s Sig Sauer P226/229 hybrid pistol. He built the entire firearm from Matrix parts. The competition lasted 3 days with over approximately 100 competitors vying for the sole prize of a $500 in-store gift certificate.

Well, I won!

I had never fired his custom firearm until the moment I hit the firing line (in all fairness, I am a former Federal air marshal and San Diego PD SWAT officer–so I do have a history with P226’s and 229’s

Now, I MUST build my own Matrix Precision Sig. I have the Matrix Signess.

I figured your company should get good news like this once in a while and appreciate you letting me regale with my Memorial Day weekend win!

I too suffer from the Matrix born “signess”. I recently bought a new p229 X-carry DA/SA (never fired). A few days after that, I saw a LEO turn in online (p229DAK 40sw) and bought that too. I decided to “renovate” the 229DAK and turn it into a DA/SA. Thats when I discovered MatrixPrecisionParts.com. I enjoyed the process of rebuilding the DAK so much I purchased the Revenant 229 frame (nickel) from matrix and I am now building a second p229. My wife says Im like a little girl that constantly changes her dolls clothes and hair. I am now selling my p226 x-carry (I like compacts more) in favor of keeping my 2 p229s (all thanks to MPP.com).
