Really nice frame, machining looks perfect. All parts fit without issue. Its great Matrix is making P228 frames because there aren’t any options to repair older guns. The frame is very very close if not identical to the original in almost all areas. The dust cover is just a tad thicker, but I doubt anyone could tell the difference unless you have them both side by side.

Great frame, very well made and high quality. No problems installing the parts into it. I got the E2 version, hoping I could use my P229-1 15rd mags as well as my P228 mags. I used a P228 locking insert and P228 slide. Works perfectly with P228 mags, but has frequent failures to feed with P229-1 mags. When comparing the P228 and P229-1 mags, I noticed that the P229-1 feed lips are longer front to back – everything else seems the same. But overall, very pleased with this frame.
