RUGER PROJECT SIGHT OPTIONS
Quick update. I was on vacation this past week, so not much progress. I have a hardened jig ready for testing so I plan to cut the first receiver this coming week, so I will hopefully be posting the first build tutorial. I do need to make a barrel assembly since I think I want to try out the barrel design at the same time.
For rear sights, there are a couple options. There is a cutout in the jig to make the standard Ruger dovetail for the standard rear sight and aftermarket sights. Or, you could just use a rail, there are three holes in the top of the jig for tapping the standard Ruger MKIII rail mount. Or you can use both.
You would want to use an adjustable rear sight for these.
The barrel will be tapped to mount this type of front sight
